BEAVER on the prowl

Neighbors have witnessed that there is at least one beaver currently active along the shores. A large tree was "girdled" along Aquila Road and will like not survive the damage that was done. Another neighbor chased away a beaver at 14 Aquila Road after it had dropped a poplar tree into the water. It has been noted that a fairly good deterrent is a three foot wrap of chicken wire around the base of any tree you might want to protect.
